Welcome to view Hökensås beautiful and historic nature and the wildlife with horse and carriage. The belt team is run all year round in summer, spring and autumn with a belt team carriage and in the winter on snow with a horse and sleigh. The belt team is drawn by well-trained Ardennes horses. We run pre-booked tours for families and groups or private tours.

FAVORITE TRIP WITH HORSE AND TROLLEY
Every Saturday and Sunday,( summertime ) a short tour by horse and carriage is run on Hökensås with its wonderful nature and animals between 11.00 and 1300. The tour takes about 30 minutes and costs SEK 100 for adults and SEK 50 for children. Departure and arrival for this trip by horse and carriage is Sänksjön Hökensås.
This tour can not be pre-booked but is paid on site to the driver.
HÖKENSÅS NATURRESERVAT
Hökensås nature reserve Hökensås is well known for its fishing for rainbow and trout in about thirty lakes and ponds among moss-covered hills and ridges, as well as an unbeatable calm nature with waterfalls. The area has about 50 lakes and ponds with clear and clean water. Every year, the company Hökensås Sportfiske releases fish in several of the lakes, mostly rainbow trout but also trout and brook trout. Fishing licenses are available for purchase in all the shops and kiosks in the area. In the area there are moose, deer and several bird species that depend on undisturbed nature, such as the woodpecker, barn owl, capercaillie and black grouse. The hiking trail Västra Vätterleden runs through the nature conservation area, and east of Alvasjön there are marked paths.
